Spotify outage

The Spotify outage problems in the UK seem to have been resolved as the number of Downdetector.co.uk reports drops to just a handful.

In the United States, however, reports about Spotify Down are increasing rapidly. Downdetector.com registered over 1,000 reported issues with Spotify Down at the time of writing.

Of those affected, 55 percent have problems with Spotify music streaming and 38 percent have problems with the Spotify website.

The Down Detector outage map states that the Spotify down problems are currently not primarily affecting users in the United States.

Many times, Spotify becomes unavailable to hundreds of users who have reported issues with the popular music streaming service.

The independent outage monitor Down Detector has registered an increase in Spotify Down errors.

The majority (53 percent) of those affected have trouble streaming music on Spotify.

While a third has problems accessing the Spotify website and 13 percent have problems with Spotify on Sonos.

Is Spotify wrapped down?

Spotify’s wrapped feature doesn’t work for a large number of users.

The tool was launched on 5th December 2019 and allows users to get an overview of the music they have heard. Last year, for the first time, it also took the last decade, in which all songs from the 2000s are summarized.

  • However, many users indicated that they could not load their report. While some were able to connect as usual, others stated that the wrapped function simply could not be loaded.
  • The problems seemed to be particularly common on Android smartphones.
  • Users said they clicked on the large ad that appeared in the app, but nothing happened.
  • There doesn’t seem to be an obvious solution to the problem, but if you forcibly quit and reopen the app, it can work. You may also be able to access the wrapped feature on another device.
  • However, the special service started year ago and commemorates the end of the year, it should be possible to access the 2019 version of Wrapped for some time. That means it should be available even if it takes a while to fix the problems.

Spotify down – what’s happened?

Spotify users reported that the app was not working properly. And a live outage map appeared to recommend that the outage was global, however, the UK and Europe were the biggest hotspots for issues. However, the issue didn’t appear to affect all users.

Is Spotify down in my area?

If you think that it is only you that facing the Spotify Down issue, check the online status of the Spotify on DownDetector. If there is problem with server itself, then you can do nothing but to wait to the outage be over.

Why Spotify Down?

Spotify has had these kinds of issues before, with the app freezing and refusing to play music. This time around, however, the issues have expanded to include music libraries to partially vanish.

If Spotify is down, as a result, the service won’t stream music or they see the “You’re Offline” error. Common problems that prompt users to ask if Spotify is down included;

  • Streaming problems
  • Log-in problems
  • Website working issues

The best place to go to check if Spotify is down Detector. This service tracks user reported Spotify problems and will help you know if the service is down or if it is just you.

System-wide problems are fairly very rare, so it’s more likely that you’ve got a Spotify problem with your account, your device or something going wrong specific to your experience than it’s that Spotify is completely down.

Why is my Spotify is down or crashing?

Force close and restart Spotify.

Faulty apps are often corrected by a restart. The same applies to Spotify. When Spotify becomes unstable for the first time, it’s probably just a random error that can be easily fixed by restarting the app. So here is what you should try first:

  • Swipe up from the bottom to the center of your screen and hold until the Switcher app opens.
  • Swipe left or right to find the Spotify app.
  • Touch and hold the app, then tap the minus (-) icon. This will end or close the app.
  • Alternatively, you can swipe up to close the app when the minus icon appears.
  • After 30 seconds you can start Spotify and see if it is stable.

Restart your iPhone (soft reset).

If restarting the app does not help, you can continue with a restart of the device or a soft reset. This can help fix minor software issues that could cause Spotify to suddenly become irregular. First, do the following to perform a soft reset on your iPhone 8:

  1. Press and hold the power button until the Turn Off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider to turn off your iPhone completely.
  3. After about 30 seconds, press and hold the power button again until you see the Apple logo.

If your phone freezes when Spotify crashes, you can alternatively restart using the hardware buttons or force a restart on your iPhone 8. That’s how it’s done:

  1. Briefly press the volume up key.
  2. Briefly press the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the Side / Power button until the Apple logo appears.

Neither restart will affect your data, so nothing will be deleted. When your phone has booted up, open Spotify and check if it is already working stably. Check this guide if Spotify not working.
